Hi everyone! How’s your week been? Did you participate on Bout of Books 12 that was happening throughout this week? I did and it was so much fun! I met new people, read lots of great books(!) and participated on at least two of the challenges!
Soo, I read a few books this week. As in 8 books. Four of them were graphic novels but that’s still a lot! And all of them were such an awesome reads! I think that the smallest rating I gave this week was 4. So that’s that. I’ll be talking more about them on their own reviews but wow, just wow, how good the books were!
1. What Happened to Goodbye by Sarah Dessen 4.5 stars
2. Saga Vol. 3 by Brian K. Vaughan 5 stars
3. The Girl with All the Gifts by M.R. Carey 4.5 stars
4. Blankets by Craig Thompson 4 stars
5. The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion 4 stars
6. The Walking Dead Vol. 3 by Robert Kirkman 4 stars
7. Sin City: The Yellow Bastard by Frank Miller 5 stars
8. We Are All Completely Beside Ourselves by Karen Joy Fowler 4 stars
I was also actually reading a 9th book, The Stories of Ibis by Hiroshi Yamatomo and I liked the beginning but after a reading a while I didn’t feel like reading at all. Today after thinking about it I decided to DNF it but I might try to read it in future again if I feel like it because I really liked the stories at the beginning.
I didn’t have that many goals for this than to read as much as I can, participate on the twitter chats, update what I was reading and participate on some of the challenges. I feel that I did really well on all of these because even though I ended up DNF:ing one book, I had so many other great books, I met some awesome people on both of the chats I participated and I took part on at least two of the challenges. If you are interested in seeing what I read each day, you can see it here.
This is all for me this week! I hopefully start posting reviews for the books I have read next week. I also heard that there’s a review-a-thon happening at the end of this month that I might take part in. How was your week? Did you participate on Bout of Books and if you did how did it go?
Ps. I also got me a new book this week. I actually I bought this before Christmas but Book Depository took it’s time and delivered it only this week. I really can’t wait to read this!
I’ll be posting here my reading stats for every day of Bout of Books. I thought that this would be the easiest way to keep you updated on what I have read on this read-a-thon!

Hi everyone! It’s my first update on Bout of Books and also first challenge! At the moment I have read one book, What Happened to Goodbye by Sarah Dessen. It was so good! I actually cried a little bit at the end because of how it made me feel. Next I think I will continue with some graphic novels before deciding which book I will read next.
To continue on the challenge, it’s organized by Stefani at Caught Read Handed and you might have guessed from the title already, it’s bookshelf scavenger hunt! There’s 8 different criteria and you find a book for each of them!
1. Find an author with same initials as you.
I didn’t find any authors with same initials as me ;__;
2. Find a book with color yellow on it.
Dead Reckoning by Charlaine Harris
3. Find an author’s name with letter “S” on it.
Silmätyksin by Bjorn Sortland
4. Find a book with a female protagonist.
Entangled by Cat Clarke
5. Find the longest book you own.
The Collected Novels of The Brontë Sisters
6. Find a book with a map in it or on it.
A Dance with Dragons by George R.R. Martin
7. Find a book with face on it (photograph or illustrated).
Steampunk by various authors
Bonus: Find something on your shelf that isn’t a book.
My lovely figure of Yuki Nagato. I just love this figure and it’s actually been in some of my earlier posts too!
Are you participating on Bout of Books? How is it going?
The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, January 5th and runs through Sunday, January 11th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 12 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. – From the Bout of Books team
When I heard of this read-a-long last year, I immediately decided that I want to spend it by reading the library books I have. At the moment I had over 30 books that I luckily got around 30 now. So my TBR and goal of this Bout of Books is to read as many books from the pictures above as I can within this week. I know that I can’t read all of them but hopefully I can read at least all the graphic novels and 3-4 books. I’ll be mostly updating my progress on twitter (@tittareading) but I also want to participate at least on two of the blog challenge’s and write a wrap up at the beginning of next week.
Are you participating? Do you have any goals? Tell me on the comments!
